Zefir has always had a seat at my table.
grew up in a Slavic home, where zefir was just part of tea time. Soft, fruity, and light, it was a small tradition that felt like home. I didn't know it then, but it was already my favorite.
Funny thing is, I never thought of myself as a sweet tooth. Most desserts left me feeling heavy and overwhelmed. Zefir was the one sweet I could never say no to, because it never weighed me down. It just made me feel good.
Coming back to what I love
Nobody taught me to cook when I was growing up in Belarus. Then Covid came, and I fell in love with experimenting in the kitchen. Vietnamese, Indian, Peruvian: I tried it all and loved every minute.
When my daughter was born, I found myself reaching back toward home. I speak Russian with her, and I want her to grow up surrounded by the Slavic traditions I loved as a child. Then one day, scrolling on Instagram, I discovered zefir flowers. I couldn't stop looking at them, and I couldn't wait to try making them myself. I fell in love, and what began as curiosity turned into something I take to heart.
Simple, and made with love
I believe the simplest things are the best things. That's why our zefir has no artificial ingredients, only real fruit and a short list of simple ones. Eating natural food matters to me, and I love shaping every flavor and every flower by hand.
